Supply Spectacular Cup Trophy
Wallace Bishop Jewellers in Lismore have once again supplied a spectacular $10,500 Lismore Cup Trophy.
This 18ct gold plated trophy, handcrafted by the same people who make the Melbourne Cup, will be taken home by the owners of the winner of the 2011 XXXX Gold Lismore Cup.
This is sure to attract the best stayers in northern NSW and south east Queensland to Lismore Racecourse on 22nd September.
XXXX Gold Retreat for Lismore Cup Day
“XXXX Gold is very proud to be the sponsor of the Lismore Cup and we’ll be adding to the event experience with the introduction of the XXXX Gold Retreat and entertainment by the XXXX Angels” said Jon Bradshaw of XXXX.
The XXXX Gold Retreat is a huge B Double truck that transforms into a two-level country styled pub. It took six months to construct and tours the country stopping off at XXXX sponsored events. The lower level of the Retreat houses a 6m long public bar, a stage for performances by the XXXX Angels and a massive screen to broadcast the racing action.
The upper deck entertaining area is reserved for 60 lucky fans that have the chance to be “upgraded” every hour to Gold Class. Upstairs they will enjoy a great view of the races, a personal meeting and photo with the XXXX Angels, some merchandise and of course a complimentary XXXX Gold.
“The Lismore Turf Club is very excited by the opportunity to host the XXXX Gold Retreat” said Michael Timbrell, Secretary/Manager of the Lismore Turf Club.
“This is the first time this facility has been seen on the Northern Rivers and it is quite a spectacular site. This will add a touch of class to Lismore Cup Day that has never been seen before” he said.
TRANSPORT
The Lismore Turf Club will operate a FREE shuttle bus service on Lismore Cup Day. Northern Rivers Buslines will be picking up in the CBD from 11.45am (until 2.15pm). Pickup points will be Crowther Car Park Bus Zone, Conway Street (Trevans) Bus Zone & Spinks Park Transit Centre. The return service will start at 4.45pm and will operate until 6.45pm. This service is provided by the Lismore Turf Club as a FREE service and therefore patrons are asked to conduct themselves in an orderly manner while riding on the buses.
